UPDATED: Franklin Boulevard will be closed for paving July 7th
As the current construction on Franklin Boulevard between Champlain Boulevard and Main Street nears completion, the road will be closed in two phases for surface paving.
The following closures are currently planned (weather dependent):
- Saturday July 7th (rain date July 8) beginning at 7 a.m., for one full day – Franklin Blvd. from South of Dundas St. to South of Main St. (see attached map)
Detour routes will be posted. Access to local plazas will be maintained as much as possible, but there will be periods of time when driveways will require closure. Every attempt will be made to provide alternate access and re-open closed driveways as soon as possible.
If you live in the area please read the letter sent to you in advance of the closure.
Emergency access to the roadway will be accommodated at all times. Once the paving and line painting is complete, the roadway and roundabouts will be fully opened to traffic and the project will be complete.
