If you find a pet

Please call City Dispatch at 867-979-5650 between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday to Friday and we will arrange a municipal enforcement officer to collect the animal.

If your pet is lost

Here are some immediate steps you can take to locate your missing pet:

  1. Check this page for our list of loose pets currently in our care.
  2. City Dispatch at 867-979-5650 to see if your pet is with Municipal Enforcement.
  3. Conduct a search of the area where your pet was last seen.
  4. Post a photo on social media of your missing pet and ask if it has been seen.

Loose pets currently in our care

Loose dogs are collected by municipal enforcement officers. Every effort is made to locate and contact the animal's owner within 72 hours. After 72 hours, the dog may be subject to local adoption, sent out of territory, or euthanized.
