Waterloo Region – Here is a list of Region of Waterloo service changes and special events for the Easter long weekend, Friday, April 19 and Monday April 22, 2019.
All Regional Administrative Offices (99 Regina – Waterloo, 150 Frederick – Kitchener,150 Main – Cambridge, Airport Administrative.) – Closed Friday, April 19 and Monday April 22, 2019.
Employment Resource Centres (99 Regina – Waterloo, 235 King – Kitchener, 150 Main – Cambridge) – Closed Friday, April 19 and Monday April 22, 2019.

Grand River Transit
GRT will be operating on a Sunday service schedule on Friday, April 19 (Good Friday) and on Sunday, April 21 (Easter Sunday).
Buses will be running on regular weekday service on Monday, April 22 (Easter Monday), except for high school specials which are cancelled.
GRT Terminal hours for Good Friday are:
Charles Terminal: Ticket sales: 8:15 a.m. - 6:30 p.m., Building: 7:45 a.m. - 1:00 a.m.
Ainslie Terminal: Ticket sales: 10:05 a.m. – 5:30 p.m. (closed 1:30 - 2:30 p.m.) Building: 7:30 a.m. – 1:00 a.m.
GRT Terminal hours for Easter Monday are:
Charles Terminal: Ticket sales: 8:15 a.m. – 6:30 p.m., Building: 5:15 a.m. - 1:10 a.m.
Ainlsie Terminal: Ticket sales: 10:05 a.m. – 5:30 p.m., Building: 5:15 a.m. – 12:45 a.m.

Region of Waterloo International Airport – will not be affected.
Garbage, recycling, green bin and yard waste collection will not be affected.
Regular curbside waste collection on Friday, April 19 and Monday April 22, 2019. Please have all items to the curb by 7 a.m.
Residential drop-off and the Administration offices at both the Cambridge and Waterloo Waste Management sites will be closed Friday, April 19 and Monday April 22, 2019.

Easter Sunrise Service – Sunday, April 21 at 7 a.m.
Join us for the 55th annual Easter Sunrise Service in the Village’s historic Freeport United Brethren Church. The service is sponsored by the Cambridge Christian Business Men’s Committee. Light refreshments will be served following the service. A voluntary offering will be collected.

Easter Weekend Eggstravaganza – April 19 to 22
Sample some traditional Easter Cheese and help the Schneiders scratch decorate traditional designs onto naturally dyed Easter Eggs.
Easter Egg Hunt – Saturday, April 20 at 10 a.m. (Historic house will open at noon today) $2 per child (cash only, accompanying adult no charge).
Bring your own basket and collect coloured eggs scattered throughout the Museum site. Exchange your eggs for a sweet treat.

More than Haggis and Kilts - How the Scots shaped Canada exhibit explores the lasting impact Scots have had on Canadian life – it’s not just bagpipes and tartan!
Hot Cross Bun Making Demonstration and Easter Crafts – Good Friday, April 19 from 1 to 4 p.m.
Admission by cash donation. Sample freshly baked hot cross buns, and don’t forget to take a free recipe home with you. Children can create fun Easter crafts.
Egg Dyeing, Rolling and Hunt – Saturday, April 20 and Sunday, April 21 from 1 to 4 p.m.
Children can dye and decorate an egg. Kids also receive free Easter treats. $2 per child plus HST (accompanying adult no charge)
