Waterloo Region – Here is a list of Region of Waterloo service changes and special events for the Victoria Day long weekend, Monday, May 19, 2014.

All Regional Administrative Offices (99 Regina – Waterloo, 150 Frederick – Kitchener, 150 Main – Cambridge, Airport Administrative.) – Closed Monday, May 19.

Grand River Transit
GRT bus routes will be operating on a Sunday service schedule on Monday, May 19 and all High school specials are cancelled.
GRT Terminal hours of operation will not be affected.
GRT customer service – Hours of operation 7:30 a.m. – 8:30 p.m. will not be affected.

Region of Waterloo International Airport – will not be affected.

Waste/recycling/green bin pick up will not be affected.
Cambridge, Waterloo and all rural waste transfer stations will be closed Monday, May 19.

Regional Daycare centers and Home Child Care – Closed Monday, May 19

Sunnyside Seniors Services
Sunnyside Home Reception – Closed Monday, May 19
Fabulous Finds Gift Shop – Open Monday May, 19
Sand hills Café - Open
Sunnyside Wellness Centre – Closed Monday, May 19

All Regional Libraries
Branches will be closed as per normal operating hours on Monday, May 19.

Waterloo Region Museum – Open Daily - Regular Museum hours.
The museum and Doon Heritage Village are open on Monday, May 19 from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Visit for family fun!

Joseph Schneider Haus –  Closed on Victoria Day - Monday, May 19, 2014.Scraps and “Schnibbles”, Open Saturday May 17 – 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday May 18 – 1 to 5 p.m.
The Schneider family recycled nearly everything, with every bit of fabric being used up in quilts, pot holders and “Schnibble” mats.

McDougall Cottage - Closed on Victoria Day - Monday, May 19, 2014.
Kids in Kilts, Open Saturday, May 17 - Wee Beasties - 1 to 4 p.m.
One Saturday afternoon a month we invite kids ages 3 and up, to create a seasonal or Scottish inspired craft.
