What’s Open, What’s Closed, What’s happening on Canada Day?

Waterloo Region – Here is a list of Region of Waterloo service changes and special events for the Canada Day holiday, Tuesday, July 1, 2014.

All Regional Administrative Offices (99 Regina – Waterloo, 150 Frederick – Kitchener, 150 Main – Cambridge, Airport Administrative.) – Closed ,Tuesday, July 1.

Grand River Transit
GRT bus routes will be operating on a Sunday service schedule on Tuesday, July 1.
GRT Terminal hours of operation will not be affected.
GRT customer service – Hours of operation 7:30 a.m. – 8:30 p.m. will not be affected.

Region of Waterloo International Airportwill not be affected.

Waste/recycling/green bin/yard waste pick up will not be affected.
Cambridge, Waterloo and all rural waste transfer stations will be closed Tuesday, July 1.

Regional Daycare centers and Home Child Care – Closed Tuesday, July 1.

Sunnyside Seniors Services
Sunnyside Home Reception – Closed, Tuesday, July 1.
Fabulous Finds Gift Shop – Closed, Tuesday, July 1.
Sand hills Café - Open
Sunnyside Wellness CentreClosed, Tuesday, July 1.

All Regional Libraries
Branches will be closed Tuesday, July 1.

Waterloo Region Museum Open Daily - Regular Museum hours.
Waterloo Region Museum is throwing a party to celebrate Canada Day and everyone is invited! Tuesday, July 1, 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Admission is FREE to the museum and Doon Heritage Village for this fun family event including musical entertainment, fun games like croquet and horseshoes. Bring your own picnic lunch.
