W.G Johnson pool closed June 1 – July 15 for scheduled maintenance

The pool at the W.G. Johnson Centre will be closed from June 1 – July 15 for the installation of a new filtration system. The Johnson Centre gym, fitness centre and older adult programs are still open during this time.

To assist with this pool closure, the Ed Newland outdoor pool will open on June 1 as an alternative. Community members will also be able to access the YMCA for lane swims and water fitness classes at City day-rate fees. Soper Park and George Hancock pools open for the season on June 16 and the John Dolson pool remains open with regular programming.

Community members who have an Aqua or Wellness pass valid between these dates, and do not use an alternate pool, may be eligible for an extension or credit. Please see a staff member after July 16 to determine eligibility.
