Weber, from Dutton to Albert, to close July 11 for three weeks

Waterloo Region – GrandLinq has advised the Region of Waterloo that their underground utility work on Dutton will require a full closure of Weber, between Dutton and Albert, for three weeks beginning July 11.

During this closure, GrandLinq will be upgrading and replacing the sanitary services in the area. The detour during this closure will be Weber to Parkside to Bearinger to Albert to Weber.

Underground utilities on Dutton, between Weber and the roundabout in front of the ION Operations, Maintenance and Storage facility, will also be upgraded and replaced in July.

Construction will generally be carried out between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m., Monday to Friday, although some Saturday and extended hours may be required. Major activities include the removal of trees, cutting with saws and removal of asphalt and concrete, excavation of soil, backfilling and restoration as well as road reconstruction.

While the Dutton closure is in place, local access to businesses will be maintained as well as pedestrian access around the work zone.
