Waterloo Region Museum participates in Ask a Curator Day

WATEROO REGION – The Waterloo Region Museum is participating in Ask a Curator Day – an international initiative that takes place Wednesday, Sept. 18. This global online social media initiative takes place on Twitter and is a great way for people to interact with curators and people who work in cultural venues around the world.

Ask a Curator Day allows anyone using Twitter, via hashtag #AskaCurator, to ask questions of curators at museums around the world. Specific questions of the Waterloo Region Museum curatorial staff can be sent to @WRegionMuseum on Twitter.

“Maybe you’re curious about what’s it like to be a curator; or how museums decide what to exhibit; or what a curator believes is the most unique object in the museum’s collection? All of these types of questions are encouraged,” said Tom Reitz, Manager/Curator at the Waterloo Region Museum.

Anyone can participate in this global initiative.
