Waste collection cancelled for North Dumfries Township

Waterloo Region – Due to extreme weather conditions affecting visibility and road conditions, waste collection for Monday, February 25, 2019 is cancelled in North Dumfries township.

Residents of North Dumfries are asked to please bring in all green bins and blue boxes and hold them for next week’s Monday collection.

A small portion of Wilmot Township, including New Dundee and Mannheim, is also in the Monday collection area.  This area will also have waste collection cancelled for today.  Tuesday collection in the rest of Wilmot Township is expected to continue as scheduled.

Monday waste collection in the tri-cities continues as scheduled, but delays are likely due to the weather.

Residents are reminded to ensure that materials are accessible from the curb, and not buried in snow or on top of snowbanks. If possible, we ask other Monday collection residents to consider holding their waste for another week to prevent blowing litter. Tips for winter and windy day preparation of waste can be found on the Region’s website at www.regionofwaterloo.ca/en/living-here/collection-schedules-and-issues.aspx#SNOW.

The Cambridge and Waterloo transfer stations are open for regular hours today.

Information regarding all the Region of Waterloo’s waste collection programs can be found on our website at www.regionofwaterloo.ca/waste. Questions regarding service can be addressed to customer service at 519-575-4400.
