Valor H5 series fireplaces recalled due to laceration hazard

Health Canada Recall (RA-73601) recall involving Propane H5 Series Fireplace models 1150ILP and 1150JLP with various trim.

  • Product: Valor H5 Series Fireplaces.
  • Hazard identified: The use of the fireplaces over time may cause the pilot burner component to degrade resulting in a delay in the main burner ignition. The pressure from this delayed ignition may cause the glass front to break posing a laceration hazard.
  • What to do: Consumers should stop using the affected fireplaces and contact the dealer where the fireplace was purchased to schedule a service in order to repair the fireplace burner.
