Vaccine pre-registration is expanding to adults 45+ in high-priority neighbourhoods

Waterloo Region – Starting Wednesday, April 28, adults 45+ who live in high-priority neighbourhoods that have been identified by the Province with local input can begin to pre-register for the COVID-19 vaccine.

Anyone 45+, or born in 1976 and turning 45 this year, who lives in one of the following high-priority neighbourhoods can pre-register for the vaccine as of tomorrow:

  • Vanier/Rockway (Kitchener)
  • Country Hills (Kitchener)
  • Alpine/Laurentian (Kitchener)
  • Victoria Hills/Cherry Hill (Kitchener)
  • Shades Mills (Cambridge)
  • Columbia/Lakeshore (Waterloo)

Members of the public who are 45+ and live in one of the identified high-priority neighbourhoods are strongly encouraged to pre-register for the vaccine, and when they receive notification that it’s their turn to book an appointment, to do so right away.

The fastest way to pre-register for the vaccine is on the Region of Waterloo website: COVID-19 Vaccination Pre-registration.

Anyone who needs help to pre-register online is encouraged to reach out to a family member or friend for help. The quickest way to get an appointment is to provide an email or text (mobile phone number) when pre-registering for the vaccine.

The Region of Waterloo COVID-19 Vaccine Task Force is also working closely with priority groups to increase access to vaccines through a variety of clinic options, including bringing pop-up and mobile clinics to high-priority neighbourhoods.
