Update: person to identify in ByWard Market homicide investigation
(Ottawa) –The Ottawa Police Service Major Crime Unit is seeking the assistance of the public in relation to the homicide of Markland Campbell on June 7th, 2019 in the By-Ward Market.
Investigators are looking to identify and speak with a person who left the By-Ward Market area in a taxi shortly after the shooting. (See photos)

Charges laid in ByWard Market homicide investigation
(Ottawa)-This morning, the 18 year old male appeared in court. Donald MUSSELMAN was charged with 2nd degree murder.
He was remanded into custody.

Homicide investigation at ByWard Market Square and York Street
(Ottawa) –Frontline officers attended the area of ByWard Market Square and York Street for reports of a shooting on Friday evening. A male victim suffering from gunshot wounds was located on the sidewalk. He was transported to the hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. The 42 year old male victim was identified as Markland Campbell of Ottawa.
An 18 year old male suspect has been arrested in relation to this shooting and there are no other suspects being sought. He will appear in court Sunday morning.
