Upcoming Film Project - May 15, 16 and 23, 2019
Frankie Drake Mysteries will be coming to Hespeler for three days to film on private property – May 15, 16 and May 23. Set in Toronto during the 1920s, Frankie Drake Mysteries follows the city’s only female private detective as she takes on the cases the police don’t want. In a time of change and hopefulness, Frankie is a woman ahead of her time - she’s a new detective for a new world. This CBC original series is developed and produced by the same team that has made ‘Murdoch Mysteries’ a household name.
Filming will occur on privately owned properties at 151 and 171 Guelph Avenue until approximately 11:00pm on all three nights. No special effects or gunfire will be undertaken as part of this project.
Anticipated Impacts:
- Northbound lane closure on Guelph Avenue from 7:00pm through 11:30pm on May 15, 16 and 23 to facilitate the installation of a lighting rig.
- Residential filming to occur until approximately 11:00pm
Parking:
- The majority of parking will be occurring on private property
- Base camp and crew parking has been approved in the auxiliary lot at Hespeler Arena
As always, paid duty officers from Waterloo Region Police Services will be on hand to ensure public safety and assist in directing traffic.
