Upcoming Film Project - Friday, November 13, 2020
We are pleased to be welcoming the cast and crew of "Maine Street Productions" to Cambridge to shoot scenes for their upcoming season (subject to final approval)! It will be this series’ first time filming in Cambridge, but we are hopefully it won’t be their last! They will be filming in three distinct areas of Galt - Mill Race Park, 5 Blenheim Road and Queens Square on Friday, November 13, 2020.
Hero locations:
- Mill Race Park (12 noon to 4pm)
- 5 Blenheim Road (3 to 7pm)
- Queens Square (6pm to 11pm)

Anticipated Impacts:
- Intermittent stoppages on Parkhill Road between 12:00 noon and 3:00pm
- Intermittent stoppages on Lansdowne Road and Blenheim Road as needed
- Intermittent stoppages within Queens Square between 8:00pm and 11:00pm
- Relocation of bus stop in front of the Idea Exchange in Queens Square
- No intermittent traffic stoppages are permitted during rush hours (between 7:00 and 9:00am, and 4:00 to 6:00pm)
**Please note: an intermittent traffic stoppage is the holding of vehicles for no more than 3 minutes per instance, and traffic must be allowed to fully clear before another stoppage is undertaken. All traffic control will be supervised by Paid Duty Officers from Waterloo Region Police Services.
Parking:
- Base camp will be located in a portion of the Beverly Street Parking Lot, in addition to crew parking being located at Dickson Arena and in the Parkhill Road Parking Lot
- On-street parking will be reserved on the west side of Water St N (between Parkhill Rd and Thorne St), in Queens Square and on Melville St N and S
- Core area patrons stopping briefly to visit their favourite shops will be able to utilize reserved parking on a short term basis, so long as filming is not occurring (these areas will be “soft coned” until equipment needs to be moved into place)
Special Effects:
- No special effects are proposed for this project
- Lighting lifts may be utilized within Queens Square during filming
Please note that “Good Witch” will also be filming in the area on private property on November 12 and 13, 2020.
