Unsolicited door-to-door inspectors claiming to be acting on behalf of City in north Galt area

The City wishes to remind residents that all inspectors and officers conducting City business including pool inspections will always have proper City of Cambridge identification.

Reports of unsolicited door-to-door pool inspectors claiming to be acting on behalf of the City have been received at various private residences in the north Galt area.

In most cases, the City arranges appointments for inspections in advance but the City wishes to remind residents, if they are ever unsure to ask to see official identification before allowing anyone access to their home. City by-law officers are also identifiable in full uniform and operate marked City vehicles. City inspectors and officers undergo training regarding entry to dwellings that following necessary regulations and protocols.
