Two men arrested and charged following a covert operation

(Ottawa) – The Ottawa Police Service Street Crime Unit arrested two men yesterday following a three-month long investigation involving drug trafficking.
On November 11th, 2021, the Street Crime Unit, assisted by the Carlington Neighbourhood Resources Team, arrested the two men without incident.
They seized a loaded Glock, a loaded P80 pistol as well as cocaine, crack cocaine, Percocet pills, Canadian currency, four cellphones and a digital scale.
Charged with numerous trafficking offences, possession for the purpose of trafficking, proceeds of crime and firearms offences are:
- Abdallah M. MUFARREH, 25 years old of Ottawa
- Zakaria Ibrahim HERSI, 25 years old of Ottawa
They are scheduled to appear in court today.
Ottawa residents are encouraged to contact police if they suspect someone is carrying a crime gun or engaging in drug trafficking activities.
