Three ways to vote in the 2018 Municipal Election
Tell us what matters to you! Vote in the 2018 Municipal and School Board Election. To make voting as convenient as possible for Cambridge residents, there are three different ways you can cast your ballot this October: Advance Polls, Online and on Election Day.
Advance Polls
Save time and vote at one of our advance polls. Remember to bring your voter information card and documentation that proves your identity and address. Learn more about voter identification.
October 3
- City Hall, 4 – 8 p.m.
October 6
- Hespeler Arena, 10 a.m. – 6 p.m.
- Preston Auditorium, 10 a.m. – 6 p.m.
- City Hall, 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.
October 10
- City Hall, 4 – 8 p.m.
October 13
- Hespeler Arena, 10 a.m. – 6 p.m.
- Preston Auditorium, 10 a.m. – 6 p.m.
- City Hall, 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.
Online voting
Online voting is a quick and easy way to cast your ballot at a time that’s convenient for you without having to visit a polling station. Online voting will open at 10 a.m. on October 9 and run until 7:59 on October 22. Learn more about what you need to vote online.
Election Day
Election Day is your last chance to cast your vote. Visit your local polling station between 10 a.m. – 8 p.m. to tell us what matters to you by voting. Your voter information card tells you where your polling place is located. Remember to bring this card and identification to the polling place with you if you choose to vote in-person. You can also use our interactive map to find your polling location.
Please note that William G. Schneider, candidate for Waterloo Region District School Board Trustee (Cambridge/North Dumfries) withdrew his candidacy on September 17, 2018, however, this was too late to be officially removed from the ballot. Please consider one of several other candidates running for the English Public School Board seat.
