Thousands of additional appointments for third doses open today
Waterloo Region – The Region of Waterloo will continue to expand capacity at regional vaccination clinics due to the high demand for third doses and the urgent need to protect everyone in our community from the new Omicron variant. Thousands of additional appointments are being added to the regional booking system today.
These additional appointments will still not meet the anticipated demand for third doses at regional vaccination clinics. Residents are being advised to look to local pharmacies and their doctor’s office as another source of the vaccine. If you cannot get an appointment immediately, residents are encouraged to get their name on waiting lists.
The thousands of additional appointments are for clinics up to December 24 at the Cambridge Pinebush vaccination clinic and the mobile vaccination clinic at Bingemans.
The Region of Waterloo will continue to notify residents when more appointments open in the regional booking system. Appointments are required for third doses and can be booked at participating pharmacies and doctors' offices, or at a Waterloo Region clinic on the Region of Waterloo website: regionofwaterloo/GetaVaccine
