Suspect to identify in Centretown area Robberies (1)

(Ottawa) — The Robbery Unit is looking for public assistance to identify a man involved in two robberies in the Centretown area on January 8 and 12th 2022. Both robberies occurred at the same business in the 200 block of Elgin Street.

The first robbery occurred at approximately 3:30pm, and the second at approximately 4:40pm. In both cases, the suspect fled the area on foot with an undisclosed amount of money.

One person suffered serious injuries during the second incident.

The suspect is described as a Black man, approximately 5’7” to 5’9” (170-175cm), between 18-22 years old, slim build with short black curly hair, wearing a black baseball hat, black jacket with large collar, blue track pants and spoke English. No photo available.
