Sunnyside Home to run mock disaster exercise

Kitchener - Sunnyside Home will be testing its evacuation procedure through a mock disaster exercise this Friday. 

Waterloo Regional Police Services, Kitchener Fire Department, Emergency Medical Services and Grand River Transit will work in collaboration with the Region of Waterloo’s Sunnyside Seniors’ Services to evacuate one resident home area of Sunnyside Home. 

The exercise will enable the Region to test and evaluate the effectiveness of its emergency and evacuation procedures. 

What: Mock disaster exercise at Sunnyside Home
When: Friday, August 10, 2012 from 9 a.m. until approximately 12 noon
Where: Sunnyside Campus, 247 Franklin Street North, Kitchener
