Spend time with family and friends this Victoria Day weekend

Cambridge, Ontario. May 15, 2018… Cambridge City Hall and some City facilities will be closed beginning Saturday, May 19 for the Victoria Day long weekend. 

Another royal milestone is happening this weekend; the royal wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. Stop by the Cambridge Farmers’ Market on Saturday, May 19 for some wedding-themed activities and British treats and teas. The Famers’ Market also has everything for the perfect Victoria Day weekend barbeque. From fresh fruit and produce, to local meats and cheeses, shoppers will find a wide selection of delicious food for an outdoor feast for family and friends.

The long weekend is also the perfect time to take advantage of the nice weather and spend some time outdoors at one our many parks and trails. For an indoor activity, visit the Cambridge Centre for the Arts on Saturday, May 19 to view the current art exhibit, Expressions of TreeQuility by Amy Ferrari.

Idea Exchange’s Stay and Play program is running on Saturday, May 19 from 10:30 a.m. – 3: 30 p.m. at the Preston location and STEAM Stay and Play from 10:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. at Queen’s Square. This free, all-ages program explores different stations throughout the children's department, with the Queen’s Square area focusing on fun science, technology, engineering, art, and math activities.
