Shooting investigation in Alta Vista: seeking witnesses

(Ottawa) — The Guns and Gangs Unit is investigating a shooting that occurred in the 1700 block of Kilborn Avenue yesterday evening.
At approximately 6:00pm on August 9th, 2021, frontline officers responded to the area in response to shots fired. On scene, they located shell casings on the ground.
Shortly after the incident, a 22 year old man was dropped off at a nearby hospital with a gunshot wound. It is believed he was involved in the shooting. The man has serious injuries, but they are not considered life-threatening.
