Residents invited to complete a survey about waste collection and diversion

Waterloo Region – The Region invites residents to share their opinions on waste collection and recycling programs by completing an online survey.  The survey closes November 9, 2012.   

The Region of Waterloo's Waste Management Division has begun work on a new Waste Management Master Plan that could affect how garbage and other items are collected from residents’ homes, and what ultimately happens to those materials.  This study will recommend new ways to keep garbage out of our landfill, and what to do with our leftover garbage once the landfill is full, in about 20 years. 

Resident views and opinions are important to guide this planning process.  For citizens who were unable to attend the public information sessions, there are still opportunities to join the conversation about the future of waste diversion and disposal in our community:
