REMINDER: Public Open House and Workshop on March 27

During the public open house and workshop, participants will learn more about the CTC Community Building Strategy process and discuss how rapid transit can create new opportunities for mobility, place making and strengthening the region’s economic vitality. The workshop is a chance to explore what rapid transit could mean for the people who live, work and play in the region.

WHAT:     Public Open House and Workshop for the Central Transit Corridor (CTC) Community Building Strategy

WHEN:      March 27, 3 to 8 p.m.

WHERE:    Knox Presbyterian Church, 50 Erb St. W., Waterloo.

In addition to the information displays on how rapid transit relates to key regional and local destinations, and what other cities have done to maximize the benefits of rapid transit investment, the Region’s consultants will give a presentation outlining the key themes that will be part of the Community Building Strategy. Participants will then work in smaller, facilitated sessions to discuss specific ideas and perspectives related to integrating rapid transit into Waterloo Region.

This visioning workshop is the first public open house in a serious of hands-on events during the 10-month Community Building Strategy Consultation Strategy. Please join us and be part of the conversation!
