Reminder: cancelled Monday waste collection will be picked up on Saturday
Waterloo Region – A reminder to all residents who had their Monday waste collection cancelled due to the storm that the missed collection will be made up this Saturday, February 7.
Residents are reminded to please have all green bins, blue boxes and garbage at the curb by 7 a.m. When clearing driveways and sidewalks, please consider clearing a shelf in the snowbank for your waste at ground level. Garbage, green bins and recycling must be visible and easily accessible from the curb, and not covered with snow or on top of snowbanks.
The Region of Waterloo thanks residents in the Monday area for their cooperation and understanding. Moving the missed collection to Saturday means that the storm impacted only one day’s worth of households. By continuing with the rest of the week as normal, the remaining 130,000 households in the Region were not affected. Regular collection will resume on Monday, February 9.
Additional information on all waste collection and diversion programs can be found on the Region’s website at www.regionofwaterloo.ca/waste. If you have any questions regarding collection, please call customer service at 519-575-4400.
