Regional service changes for Remembrance Day

Waterloo Region – Here is a list of Region of Waterloo service changes for Remembrance Day on Thursday, November 11.

What’s open:

Regional of Waterloo Customer Service line, 24/7 - 519-575-4400

GRT will be operating on a regular weekday schedule. Please see the GRT website for ION trip adjustments.

Buses and ION trains will pause service for two minutes at 11 am. For safety reasons, any buses travelling on a highway will not pause.

GRT Customer Service Centre location hours:

• 105 King St. E., Kitchener | 9:30 a.m. – 5 p.m.
• 35 Ainslie St. S., Cambridge | 9:30 a.m. – 5 p.m.

The GRT Operations Centre at 250 Strasburg Rd. in Kitchener remains closed to the public.

Region of Waterloo International Airport 

Ken Seiling Waterloo Region Museum is open from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m.

Garbage, blue box, green bin, yard waste and bulky items:
There is regular curbside collection. Items should be set out to the curb by 7 a.m.

What’s closed:

Cambridge and Waterloo (Gate #2) waste sites  are closed for residential drop-off.

All Regional Administrative Offices (99 Regina – Waterloo, 150 Frederick – Kitchener, 150 Main – Cambridge, Airport Administrative offices). This includes the Welcome Spaces at 150 Main – Cambridge, 99 Regina – Waterloo, and 235 King – Kitchener, and Home Child Care administration.

Sunnyside Home reception and administration

Sunnyside Wellness Centre remains closed for all services with the exception of physiotherapy, foot care and hearing clinic appointments.
