Regional service changes for Family Day (1)
Waterloo Region –Here’s a list of Region of Waterloo service changes for the Family Day holiday on Monday, February 19.
What’s open/not affected:
Grand River Transit (GRT) will operate on a holiday service schedule on February 19. Holiday service is noted on all route schedules. All MobilityPLUS subscription trips will be automatically cancelled. MobilityPLUS customers can rebook their trip seven days in advance by calling 519-744-2241. GRT customer service locations at 35 Ainslie St. S., Cambridge, 105 King St. E., Kitchener and 250 Strasburg Rd., Kitchener will be closed.
Region of Waterloo International Airport
Garbage, recycling, and green bin – Curbside collection as usual on holiday Monday, February 19. Please have items out by 7 a.m.
The Ken Seiling Waterloo Region Museumwill be open from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Schneider Haus National Historic Site will be open from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday to Tuesday. McDougall cottage will open on Monday, the 19th from 11 a.m. until 4 p.m. Visit our websites for indoor and outdoor activity ideas for the whole family.
Warming centres at 150 Main (Cambridge) and 150 Frederick (Kitchener) will be open seven days a week from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., including Saturday, Sundays, and holidays.
What’s closed:
All Regional Administrative Offices (99 Regina in Waterloo, 150 Frederick in Kitchener, 150 Main in Cambridge, Airport Administrative offices)
Cambridge and Waterloo Waste Management sites are closed for residential waste drop-off.
All Region of Waterloo Library locations will be closed.
Welcome Spaces will be closed.
Home Child Care is operating as specified by your provider. Offices will be closed. For urgent issues, call 519-575-4400 and ask for Home Child Care.
