Regional service changes for Family Day

Waterloo Region – Here’s a list of Region of Waterloo service changes for the Family Day holiday on Monday, February 20, 2023.

What’s open/not affected:

Grand River Transit (GRT) will operate on a holiday service schedule on February 20. Holiday service is noted on all route schedules. The Customer Service Centre at 105 King Street East in Kitchener and Ainslie Terminal in Cambridge will be open from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Region of Waterloo International Airport 

Garbage, recycling, and green bin  – Curbside collection as usual on holiday Monday, February 20.  Please have items out by 7 a.m.

The Ken Seiling Waterloo Region Museum and Schneider Haus National Historic Site will be open from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday to Monday. MacDougall cottage will open on Monday, the 20th from 11 a.m. until 4 p.m. Visit our websites for indoor and outdoor activity ideas for the whole family.

What’s closed:

All Regional Administrative Offices (99 Regina in Waterloo, 150 Frederick in Kitchener, 150 Main in Cambridge, Airport Administrative offices)

Cambridge and Waterloo Waste Management sites are closed for residential waste drop-off.  

All Region of Waterloo Library locations will be closed.

Welcome Spaces will be closed.

Home Child Care is operating as specified by your provider. Offices will be closed. For urgent issues, call 519-575-4400 and ask for Home Child Care.
