Region to hold second public consultation centre on William Street and Strange Street Water Supply Systems
The Region is investigating options for the efficient supply of water within Kitchener-Waterloo. One opportunity that was developed involves combining water from the William Street Water Supply (WSS) in Waterloo with the Strange Street WSS in Kitchener where water would then be treated and distributed. A watermain would be built to connect the two sites. The Region is now undertaking a more detailed study to investigate this opportunity and we want to hear from you.
The second of three Public Consultation Centres (PCCs) are scheduled to receive input and comments on the William Street and Strange Street Water Supply Systems project from interested members of the public.
The PCC will provide information on the Class EA process, the evaluation of the alternatives conducted to date and the ranking of these alternatives, opportunities for public comment, and next steps.
