Region shares preferred option for improvements on Victoria Street (King Street West to Weber Street West)

Waterloo Region — The Region of Waterloo is making improvements to Victoria Street in Kitchener, from King Street West to Weber Street West, near the future Kitchener Central Transit Hub. This project focuses on high-quality multimodal connections, creating better first- and last-mile connections to the future Kitchener Central Transit Hub by creating infrastructure for walking, cycling, and transit.

The Region is conducting a Municipal Class Environmental Assessment (MCEA) study to determine the feasibility of the project and develop a preliminary design for Victoria Street's modifications. The Notice of Study Commencement is available on the EngageWR website.

As of June 10, 2024, a pre-recorded presentation and a project survey will be available on the EngageWR website.
