Region releases four-year plan for child care and early learning
Waterloo Region – Region of Waterloo Children’s Services has released its four-year plan for child care and early learning.
Developed with input from the community, the Early Learning and Child Care (ELCC) Service Plan will act as a road map for the next four years for licensed early learning and child care services.
There are five key actions outlined in the service plan: improving access to quality programs, developing a master plan, building capacity to support the inclusion of all children, addressing the service experience for families, and a new quality assurance approach.
These actions are based on input from child care operators, community partners and over 1,100 parents who shared their experience and vision with us. Thanks again to all who helped us shape the future of child care in Waterloo Region; together we will ensure that Waterloo Region is a community where all children thrive.
