Region of Waterloo wants community input on 2020 budget
Waterloo Region - The Region wants feedback from residents on the value of current service levels and proposed service enhancements in the 2020 budget. Community members can share their ideas by attending a public meeting or online through www.engagewr.ca.
Starting today until December 20, residents can visit the budget feedback area on the community engagement site to express which service improvement areas are important to them using the online tool. The draft 2020 budget proposes a number of service improvements and Regional Council wants to know whether you think they provide good value for the community.
“Our goal is to provide residents good value for their tax dollars,” said Sean Strickland, Regional Councillor and Chair of the Budget Committee. Feedback from online discussions and public meetings will help inform Council’s decision making regarding the 2020 budget on January 22, 2020.
Citizens are also welcome to attend public input meetings scheduled for November 26 or December 11, 2019 at 6 p.m. in Council Chambers.
