Region of Waterloo wants community input on 2017 budget

Waterloo Region - The Region wants feedback from residents on service enhancements in the 2017 budget. Community members can share their ideas by attending a public meeting or online through engageregionofwaterloo.ca

Starting today until December 2, residents can visit the budget feedback area on the community engagement site to express which service improvement areas are important to them using the online tool. The draft 2017 budget proposes a number of service improvements and Regional Council wants to know whether you think they provide good value for the community.

“Our goal is to provide residents good value for their tax dollars,” said Sean Strickland, Regional Councillor and Chair of the Budget Committee.  Feedback from online discussions and public meetings will help inform Council’s decision making regarding the 2017 budget on January 11, 2017.

Citizens are also welcome to attend public input meetings scheduled for November 16 or December 14, 2016 at 6 p.m. in Council Chambers.
