Region of Waterloo Set to Honour Local Leaders in Workplace Health (1)
Region of Waterloo Public Health invites media to join us to recognize and celebrate workplaces in Waterloo Region at the 7th annual Healthy Workplace Awards event.
The awards celebration will be held on October 27th at Knox Waterloo from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m.
Nineteen local workplaces ranging from big companies to small start-ups will be receiving one of the four award levels; Bronze, Silver, Gold or Platinum. In addition, the 2016 “Innovator Award” will be awarded to one workplace that demonstrates innovation in workplace health.
The workplace has great potential to improve overall employee health and well-being and can support and complement employees' efforts to bring about a balanced life. Creating or sustaining a healthy workplace creates a win-win situation for both employers and employees .
