Waterloo Region: Here is a list of Region of Waterloo service changes for Friday, November 11, 2016 in honour of Remembrance Day.

What’s open/not affected:

Grand River Transit will be operating on a regular schedule

Charles Street Terminal Open - Building hours: 5:15 a.m. - 3:00 a.m.

 Ticket sales 8:15 a.m. - 6:30 p.m.

Ainslie Street Terminal Open - Building hours: 5:15 a.m.  - 12:45 a.m.

Ticket sales 10:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.

GRT Customer Service – Open  24-hour service

GRT MobilityPLUS: Open – Bookings Line: 8:30 a.m. – 10:15 p.m.

Waterloo Region Museum – open, 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. 

City On Edge - Learn how a city was pushed to the edge during the First World War - to the point of changing its name from Berlin to Kitchener through a controversial and high tension referendum.

Joseph Schneider Haus – open, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Barn Raising Exhibit - Marvel at artists’ carefully crafted rugs that illustrate the beauty of rural landscapes across Canada.

McDougall Cottage open, noon to 5 p.m. Paint the Grand Exhibit and Silent Auction - See fine works by talented artists and place a bid on your favourite piece. Proceeds support McDougall’s Musician-in- Residence program.

 

Region of Waterloo International Airport – will not be affected. 


Waste, recycling, green bin and yard waste Pick up as usual on Friday,
November 11.

Region of Waterloo Library - All branches – Open per regular business hours

Community Alzheimer Overnight Stay ProgramOpen

All Regional Administrative Offices (99 Regina – Waterloo, 150 Frederick – Kitchener, 235 King – Kitchener, 150 Main – Cambridge, Airport Administrative offices) – Closed 

Cambridge and Waterloo small vehicle transfer stations for residential waste drop-off - Closed

Regional Daycare centers and Home Child Care offices – Closed

Community Alzheimer Adult Day Program – Closed

Region of Waterloo Library, Headquarters – Closed
