Region of Waterloo RAVEs about employees
Waterloo Region – Recipients of the Region’s Employee Awards for Values Excellence, also known as RAVE awards, were recognized at Regional Council tonight for their outstanding contributions to the Region.
Service, integrity, respect, innovation and collaboration are all values that guide how staff work with citizens, customers, colleagues and community partners.
“Regional employees embrace the values that Regional Council has adopted in all that they do, whether it be publicly or behind the scenes. The people of the Region deserve excellent service and these awards recognize just a few of the many examples where these values shine in our public service and why we are so proud of Regional staff,” said Ken Seiling, Regional Chair.
The 10 individual and team award recipients were celebrated for everything from developing a waste collection mapping system to launching a program for young people suffering from dementia. Staff were recognized for going above and beyond in their daily work, finding new and innovative solutions to problems and collaborating across departments and with community partners.
“I was pleased to see almost 200 employees nominated for their exceptional work that demonstrates our values in action. Our staff take pride in the fact that the Region makes a positive difference every day in our community. It’s what motivates all of us,” said Mike Murray, Chief Administrative Officer.
