Region of Waterloo launches newsletter for residents
Waterloo Region – Residents have a new place to learn how the Region of Waterloo is working with partners to improve the lives of everyone across the community.
Around the Region tells stories about Regional programs, services and decisions that impact all 630,000 residents of the region.
Filled with up-to-date news, subscribers to Around the Region receive an e-newsletter every month, with content shared in the Around the Region blog.
“We are so excited to showcase how we are working to help build a world-class community for everyone in Waterloo Region,” said Regional Chair Karen Redman. “We truly believe an engaged community is a strong community. These stories will give people a closer look at the resident-centred services and initiatives delivered every day in the region that aim to improve people’s quality of life.”
Focusing on people, the first edition of Around the Region features a behind the scenes look at the Region of Waterloo International Airport, how local businesses have benefitted from the COVID-19 Safe Ambassador program, how Reception House Waterloo Region is helping to resettle refugees from Afghanistan, and more.
