Region of Waterloo International Airport (YKF) returns to regular operations.

The Region of Waterloo – Effective at 03:30 a.m. the Region of Waterloo has reopened primary runway 08-26 and returned to regular operations.

The runway was closed early Friday morning after Flair Airlines flight F8501, arriving from Vancouver exited the runway at the end of its landing. All passengers and crew where removed from the aircraft and no injuries were reported.

The aircraft has been recovered and the Transportation Safety Board continue to conduct an investigation.
