Region of Waterloo and Unifor Local 4304/Grand River Transit Ratify Contract

Waterloo Region – The agreement between the Region of Waterloo and Unifor Local 4304 representing Grand River Transit/MobilityPLUS operators, dispatchers, fleet mechanics and service attendants has received ratification.

Highlights of the agreement include:

·       36 month collective agreement from January 1, 2017 to December 31, 2019

·       minor adjustments to health benefits and premiums 

Wages: 

- 1.50 per cent – January 1, 2017

- 1.75 per cent – January 1, 2018

- 2.00 per cent – January 1, 2019

The negotiated contract settlement between the Region of Waterloo and Unifor Local 4304 will achieve the mutual goals of providing equitable and secure wages and working conditions, while maintaining and improving the quality and level of services.
