Region is looking for Immunization Clinic Volunteers
Waterloo Region – The Vaccine Distribution Task Force is recruiting COVID-19 Immunization Clinic volunteers.
Volunteers are needed to provide assistance to the Region of Waterloo in the delivery of COVID-19 immunization clinics in a variety of non-medical roles. Roles may include assisting as a clinic greeter, helping with client flow through the clinic, equipment/supply runners and parking lot attendants
According to Regional Chair Karen Redman “The 2,500 community volunteers we currently have are vital to services and programs across the Region including at our museums and libraries, working with seniors and children, and supporting special events. We hope to see the same kind of enthusiastic response from the community in this call for volunteers for our immunization clinics.”
Volunteers will not only have an opportunity to assist our community in controlling the spread of COVID-19 but will also gain knowledge and experience in large-scale public health immunization clinics.
Volunteers will be recruited for weekdays, weeknights and weekend shifts. If you are interested in joining “team vaccine” you will need to meet the following requirements:
- Volunteers must be 18 years of age and older.
- Volunteers must commit to at least one shift per week for a minimum of three months.
