Region and City of Kitchener Host Multi-Employer Job Fair

Waterloo Region – On Thursday, October 20, 2022, the Region of Waterloo and the City of Kitchener will host a Multi-Employer Job Fair at Victoria Hills Community Centre in Kitchener. This is the sixth multi-employer job fair organized by the Region of Waterloo so far this year.

“Employers across many industries are finding it challenging to recruit employees,” said Carolyn Schoenfeldt, Director, Employment & Income Support at the Region of Waterloo. “Our multi-employer job fairs have been growing throughout 2022 and are an excellent opportunity for employers and job seekers to connect. Our September event had more than 760 job seekers in attendance. We’re thrilled to continue to work with our partners to offer this series and provide support for the community.”

The October Job Fair will be held in person from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. and will feature more than 20 employers. Job seekers are encouraged to bring copies of their resume, any questions they may have, and to be prepared for on-the-spot interviews. The Region of Waterloo has partnered with the City of Kitchener for the September and October job fairs to increase awareness of local employment opportunities in neighbourhoods that are home to under-represented groups.
