Public workshop will discuss energy priorities in Waterloo Region
Waterloo Region – The Region, Cities and Local Utilities are hosting a public workshop on December 15, 2016 to discuss energy investment priorities in Waterloo Region.
The workshop is part of an engagement process for the Community Energy Investment Strategy being developed by the Region of Waterloo, the Cities of Cambridge, Kitchener, and Waterloo and the five local electricity and natural gas utilities that service this region. The Community Energy Investment Strategy aims to guide investments in local energy production and efficiency projects in Waterloo Region over the next 25 years. The Strategy will also:
- help us understand energy use in the region, now and in the future;
- identify ways to save money by reducing our energy costs as well as improving our local economy; and
- find new ways of saving energy and reducing emissions.
A wide range of stakeholders are being invited to the workshop and it is also open to the public. It will be held:
