Official Plan (ROP). The map below shows the general location of the proposed amendment.

Purpose and Effect:
Last year, the Township of Wilmot completed a detailed review of its Official Plan. As a result
of this review, the Township is proposing to finalize/rationalize the boundaries of the Baden
and New Hamburg Township Urban Areas, and the Countryside Line applicable to these areas.
This change is intended to redirect growth to areas that can be developed more efficiently and
cost-effectively on full municipal services. If approved, the proposed ROP amendment would
implement the boundary rationalization proposed by the Township of Wilmot.
