Potential service delays for Ontario Works (English, Arabic, Spanish & Farsi)

Waterloo Region – Beginning January 13, 2014, Region of Waterloo staff who administer Ontario Works will be in training for a new computer system. This may slow services slightly, and Ontario Works participants are asked to be patient. Scroll down for messages in Arabic, Spanish and Farsi.

Important messages for Ontario Works participants:

• We may not be able to get back to you as quickly as we would like

• We will grant assistance, send monthly cheques and respond to emergencies

• You should only come to the office for a scheduled appointment or emergency

• You should use our mail box to drop off information

• We still need to know if your information changes (move, new phone number or find work)

• Our Employment Services, including the Employment Resource Centres and Employment Ontario programming, should operate as usual.
