Potential Service Delays for Ontario Works

Waterloo Region – Beginning January 13, 2014, Region of Waterloo staff who administer Ontario Works will be in training for a new computer system. This may slow services slightly, and Ontario Works participants are asked to be patient.

Important messages for Ontario Works participants:

• We may not be able to get back to you as quickly as we would like

• We will grant assistance, send monthly cheques and respond to emergencies

• You should only come to the office for a scheduled appointment or emergency

• You should use our mail box to drop off information

• We still need to know if your information changes (move, new phone number or find work)

• Our Employment Services, including the Employment Resource Centres and Employment Ontario programming, should operate as usual.
