Planning study open house postponed

The City of Cambridge is advising that the Planning Study Open House scheduled for Wednesday, May 1 has been postponed until a later date.

City staff are working with stakeholders to fine-tune a public consultation process on the Planning Study to ensure a clear, productive and meaningful dialogue. This input will be used as part of the study to update the City’s Official Plan and Zoning By-law.

The purpose of this consultation is to get public feedback on the type of city-wide policies and zoning rules related to potential Supervised Consumption Services and other similar types of services.

This is a separate process than the one to establish a supervised consumption site led by Public Health and the Region of Waterloo, which is looking at where these services are needed across the region, the model, and possible locations.
