Physiotherapy services now available at Sunnyside Wellness Centre

Kitchener – The Region of Waterloo’s Sunnyside Wellness Centre in Kitchener will now offer government funded physiotherapy treatment.

Funded by the Ministry of Health and Long Term Care, this new program will begin December 15, 2014. It is available to people with a doctor or nurse practitioner referral who meet the following criteria:

• Are over 65 or under 19 years of age 
• Are on a Ontario Disability Support program, Family Benefits or Ontario Works with proof of valid drug card
• Require treatment following an overnight hospitalization

Anyone interested in receiving physiotherapy services at Sunnyside Wellness Centre should talk to their doctor or nurse practitioner.

Sunnyside Wellness Centre, located at 247 Franklin Street N., offers exercise programs, massage therapy, foot care, dental hygiene and other programs for older adults in a comfortable, barrier-free environment.
