Paramedic Services – North Headquarters Groundbreaking Ceremony
Region of Waterloo Public Health and Emergency Services will begin construction of a 48,500 sq ft Paramedic Services North Headquarters on the current Regional land adjacent to the Waterloo Region Emergency Services Training and Research Centre (WRESTRC) 1001 Erbs Rd. Waterloo.
This facility as recommended in the 2017 Paramedic Service Master plan will meet Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) silver accreditation providing a highly efficient, environmentally friendly, cost saving facility that will allow the Region of Waterloo Paramedic Services to continue to meet the Ministry of Health and Long Term Care ambulance service requirements and the growing population and density within the Region of Waterloo.
As part of the construction project we will officially be breaking ground at the site with a small ceremony on Tuesday June 12th, 2018 at 10:00. Paramedic Services Staff, Regional Staff and Regional Councilors will be present at the event.
Following the ground breaking a small reception and speeches will take place at the Waterloo Region Emergency Services Training and Research Centre Classroom #2.
We would like to invite our local media partners to attend the event as Paramedic Services continues to grow and provide excellence in patient care throughout the Region.
