Paramedic Services medication pouch discovered missing

Waterloo Region – While on a routine call in the Alpine neighbourhood of Kitchener, a Region of Waterloo Paramedics Services medication pouch was discovered missing at the end of a shift earlier today. 

Contained in the pouch were narcotics that included 8 milligrams of hydromorphone and 20 milligrams of morphine, both of which belong to the opioid class of narcotics. 

The Region is sharing this information with the community out of an abundance of caution. When used without medical supervision, these drugs are extremely dangerous.

Region of Waterloo Paramedic Services is working closely with Waterloo Region Police Services to recover the missing narcotics.
