Waterloo Region – Discussions are continuing between the Region of Waterloo and ONA representing workers employed by Public Health and Emergency Services. 

The talks are continuing with the involvement of the Ministry of Labour. The parties are scheduled to meet in mediation on March 27, 2017.   

The public health nurses represented by ONA will be in a legal strike position at 12:01 a.m. on March 29, 2017.

There are 131 ONA members employed at the Region of Waterloo. They include Public Health nurses, registered nurses, registered practical nurses, nurse practitioners and nurse specialist registered nurses.
